Mother's Day

Four years ago, we asked cancer survivors Haedyn, Will and Abby how much their moms mean to them. Watch their video to see how much their moms mean to them and how they’ve helped them get where they are today.

This year, we checked in with their moms to see how they’re doing today!

Haedyn

Haedyn is now 11 years old and in great health! He loves Boy Scouts, reading and building robotics and can’t wait to teach his new little brother how to fish.

"People often don't believe us when they hear about the health struggles he endured in the past!"Alisha, Haedyn's mom

Will

Will is currently in 7th grade and his latest scans were clear (yay!). He keeps busy with his school's theater program, performing as King Triton in their production of "The Little Mermaid."

"Will is a typical teenager who loves to hang out with his friends - he's excited for the spring and summer camping seasons!" Janel, Will's mom

Abby

Abby is now 12 years old and passionate about ballet. Last fall she went to New York City to see Misty Copeland, her favorite dancer. Her family recently discovered she has a genetic mutation that puts her at higher risk of several diseases of the blood, bone marrow and lungs - she's undergoing tests to hopefully learn what this might mean for her.

"We are hoping that someday, before she becomes symptomatic of any of these terrible diseases, they will discover how to perform gene modification. We pray for that every day." Dori, Abby's mom

We wish a happy Mother's Day to these moms and to every mom - thank you for all that you do!
