CCRF is pleased to announce additions to the organization's board of directors, board leadership and scientific advisors. John Golden, President of Crux Collaborative, Inc., is now serving as Vice Chair. He joins the board leadership team, which includes Susan Doherty, Chair, Dan Bartholet, Treasurer, Matt Hedman, Secretary, and Michelle “MJ” Johnson, Immediate Past Chair. The CCRF board also welcomes Abbie Miller, MD, Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President at PreferredOne, who has joined as a new board member.
“We are thrilled to welcome John and Abbie to the board,” said Daniel Gumnit, CCRF’s Chief Executive Officer. “John’s expertise in user experience design, Abbie's expertise as a health care leader, and their shared passion for advocating for children with cancer, will help drive forward our growth and impact strategies."
CCRF has also added new members to our Research Advisory Committee, a group of scientific experts who help identify the most promising research in areas where funding is most urgently needed. This group makes recommendations on projects to fund within CCRF’s identified funding priority areas: Emerging Scientists, Rare and Hard-To-Treat Diseases, and Survivorship Research. In addition, they help identify other opportunities to make an impact in new and significant areas of research.
