Filling the Gaps

It’s a long road from idea to treatment.

Even when a specific research project shows promise early on, the road ahead can be a lengthy one. There are multiple stages in the research process, and each step may take researchers months or even years to secure funding, complete the work and obtain regulatory approval.

Because federal funding is not available at every stage of the research process, grants from organizations like Children’s Cancer Research Fund are essential.

We provide seed grants for innovative new research projects, and we bridge funding gaps to help research move forward. As federal cancer funding becomes increasingly competitive and fewer dollars are available, support from philanthropic donors make all of the difference.
