Marketing Project Coordinator

Summary/Objective:

Children’s Cancer Research Fund supports the brightest scientists whose ideas will make the greatest impact for children with cancer. We work closely with researchers to fund innovative new projects quickly and ensure that their promising discoveries continue uninterrupted. We also fund quality of life services that enhance healing and care for children and their families and raise awareness for the need for research.

The Marketing Project Coordinator will organize and manage projects and campaigns for the marketing team and its work with internal and external clients. This person is responsible for identifying all the tasks that need to be completed within a marketing project or campaign, and then strategically delegating those tasks to the appropriate team members. They will work closely with the Marketing Strategist and Marketing leadership to determine the viability and timelines of new projects.

Essential Functions:

  • Works with interdepartmental teams to complete assigned projects on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency
  • Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience and time constraints
  • Conducts cost analysis, working with team members to estimate expected costs and hours for the project
  • Conducts post-project analysis to determine accuracy of estimates and areas for improvement in process
  • Prepares and implements a project budget based on estimates
  • Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate)
  • Addresses questions, concerns and/or complaints throughout the project
  • Acts as a liaison between marketing team, internal and external clients and vendors
  • Works with team to help ensure projects comply with CCRF brand standards and values
  • Provide regular direct marketing reporting support for use in program and project analysis
  • Other related duties as assigned

  • Adept at analysis and problem-solving
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and independence; also comfortable working within an integrated production program and team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated professional presence and manner; capable of exercising independent judgment and flexibility
  • Experience with marketing project management
  • Experience with Agile processes and variants (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Experience with graphic design, web development, writing and social media processes desired
  • Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, Asana, or Google Analytics a plus

Required education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable combination of education and professional experience
  • 2-3 years project management experience

Preferred education and experience:

  • 3-5 years project management experience
  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications

Additional eligibility qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of Raiser’s Edge data entry experience
  • Current Blackbaud certification, desired

Physical demands:

  • General computer use
  • Some light lifting

Schedule:

  • Full time (40 hours per week) on a flexible schedule
  • Occasional additional hours on evenings and/or weekends as needed

Travel:

  • Occasional local travel
  • Minimal overnight or non-local travel for training opportunities or conference attendance
